The new Erasmus Mundus MSc "InterMaths - Interdisciplinary Mathematics"

https://www.intermaths.eu/erasmus-mundus

will start officially in the academic year 2021-2022. The programme is jointly offered by the University of L'Aquila (coordinator), TU Vienna, TU Hamburg, University of Cote d'Azur (Nice), and UAB Barcelona. It is a 2-year, 120 ECTS programme.

20 Erasmus Mundus scholarships of 31.000 EUR per year (plus 18.000 EUR to cover participation costs) are offered for the new academic year 2021-2022.

The Deadline to apply for the Erasmus Mundus Scholarships is MARCH 8th 2021.

The programme is managed by:
- Corrado Lattanzio (Programme Coordinator, L'Aquila) & Marco Di Francesco (Programme Deputy Coordinator, L'Aquila)
- Anton Arnold (TU Vienna)
- Anusch Taraz (TU Hamburg)
- Francois Delarue (UCA Nice)
- Susana Serna (UAB Barcelona)

The first semester on mathematical theory is based at L'Aquila, the second semester on numerics is based either at TU Vienna or at TU Hamburg, the second year in one of the 5 universities according to 6 specializations:

Cancer Modelling and Simulation (L'Aquila)
Computational Fluid Dynamics in Industry (Vienna)
Decision Making and Applications to Logistics (Barcelona)
Modelling and Simulation of Infectious Diseases (L'Aquila)
Computational Methods in Biomedical Imaging (Hamburg)
Stochastic Modelling in Neuroscience (Nice)

Our students will have the possibility to spend part of the thesis period in one of our Industrial Partners, see the list

A joint MSc degree is awarded at the end of the two year programme.

The programme is addressed to students with a Bachelor Degree in mathematics, applied mathematics, physics, and engineering. Students who are supposed to complete their Bachelor studies at the end of the academic year 2020-2021 can participate.

How to apply:

Staff members of our InterMaths Team are ready to help in case applicants need support with the application, at the email addresses

info@intermaths.eu
apply@intermaths.eu

Please consider that the online application procedure also allows to apply for the Joint MSc "MathMods - Mathematical Modelling in Engineering"

http://www.mathmods.eu/

and for the Double Degree programmes in applied mathematics

https://www.intermaths.eu/double-degrees

The latter two are not supported by EM scholarships. However, the University of L'Aquila and the partner universities provide financial support. Their deadline for the application is April 30th 2021.

The consortium behind these three programmes features a longstanding history in applied mathematics international programmes dating back to 2006. Some of our former graduates managed to enter prestigious PhD programmes in pure and applied mathematics, to start a career in academic research, to enter R&D private and public programmes.

Please advertise the above programmes to potential candidates!!!

Thanks in advance for your support,

Best regards,

Corrado Lattanzio
(InterMaths Coordinator)

Marco Di Francesco
(InterMaths Deputy Coordinator)
