Greetings from the Direction of External Affairs of the Universidad Nacional de Colombia.
The Universidad Nacional de Colombia is the country's most representative public higher education institution. We have nine
campuses: four in the Andean Region (located in BogotΓ‘, Manizales, MedellΓ*n, and Palmira), and five in Colombia's border zones, located in the Amazonia (Department of Amazonas), the Caribbean (Department of San AndrΓ©s), Orinoquia (Department of Arauca), Tumaco (Department of NariΓ±o), and the newest, in La Paz (Department of Cesar). This allows the University to work as a multi-campus system that represents our country's regional, social, and cultural complexity. Moreover, our institution covers most of the areas of knowledge with 102 undergraduate programs and 366 graduate programs, and it has 21 Colleges, 73 Departments, 29 Schools, 60 Research Centers and Institutes, 13 Museums,
5 Astronomical Observatories, and a Music Conservatory. According to the QS World University Rankings, the Universidad Nacional de Colombia is number 259 in the world and number 10 in Latin America.
We currently have agreements with over 70% of the countries around the world and have signed more than 10 Erasmus+ Agreements (ICM) with universities in Germany, Spain, Portugal, France and Poland. In line with this, we are interested in cooperating through new Erasmus+ Projects with recognized European institutions such as University of Patras.
Attached you will find a short presentation on our University and the database of our research groups. We hope you find this input useful to establish synergies and consider our University for new Erasmus+ mobility and research projects for 2021.
Please do not hesitate to contact us in case of further questions.
Yours sincerely,
