Το Γενικό Σεμινάριο του Τμήματος εκκινεί τις ομιλίες προσκεκλημένων επιστημόνων για το Εαρινό Εξάμηνο του ακαδημαϊκού έτους 2025-2026.

Τίτλος: Dimensions of Topological Spaces and Zero-Dimensional Extensions of Topologies

Σύνοψη της ομιλίας:
This talk is separated in the following two parts:

We present a report on the first steps of birth and development of
Dimension Theory in Topology.

We present an extension of Topological Dimension Theory. Especially:

a) We provide new notions of zero-dimensional extensions of topologies
with respect to the small inductive dimension and the covering
dimension.

b) We study the topology of an arbitrary topological space as an intersection
of zero-dimensional extensions of it.
