Στις 24 και 25 Μαίου 2023 διοργανώνεται από την Μελίνα Γ. Μουζάλα, Επίκουρη Καθηγήτρια του Τμήματος Φιλοσοφίας Πανεπιστημίου Πατρών, υπό την αιγίδα του Τμήματος Φιλοσοφίας του Πανεπιστημίου Πατρών και με χρηματοδότηση από τον ΕΛΚΕ Παν. Πατρών, το Διεθνές Διεπιστημονικό Συνέδριο “Cognition in Ancient Greek Philosophy and its Reception: Interdisciplinary Approaches”, στο οποίο θα συμμετάσχουν φιλόσοφοι της διεθνούς ακαδημαϊκής κοινότητος και διακεκριμένοι νευροεπιστήμονες, νευρολόγοι, νευροβιολόγοι και νευροψυχίατροι, προκειμένου να παρουσιάσουν θέματα που εξετάζουν τους μηχανισμούς που εμπλέκονται στην διαδικασία της γνώσεως, όπως αποτυπώνονται στο πεδίο της αρχαίας φιλοσοφίας και της πρόσληψής της στην αρχαία και την σύγχρονη εποχή, την σχέση συναισθημάτων και γνώσεως, την σχέση της εμπειρίας με την γνώση, τον ρόλο των αισθήσεων, τον νου και την νόηση, και γενικώτερα ζητήματα αλληλεπιδράσεως της φυσιολογίας και της ανατομίας με τους ψυχολογικούς γνωσιακούς μηχανισμούς. Το Συνέδριο θα πραγματοποιηθεί εξ αποστάσεως με κέντρο τεχνικής υποστήριξης το Τμήμα Φιλοσοφίας του Πανεπιστημίου Πατρών.
