Περίληψη: (Complex hyperbolic) Bisectors are well known 3-dimensional manifolds inside complex hyperbolic plane which have been studied extensively by Goldman, Parker, Schwartz and others. We define bisectors in the Heisenberg group, which is the boundary of complex hyperbolic plane. We show that bisectors with respect to the Heisenberg metric are boundaries of complex hyperbolic bisectors, whereas bisectors with respect to the sub-Riemannian (Carnot-Caratheodory) metric are entirely different objects. For both of them we study their standard geometric properties.
